The Hammer is a collage project that combines several photos of my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario using Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint. The focus of this work was to shine a more positive light onto a city that almost always gets flack by people living outside it. I photographed various landmarks and locations across downtown Hamilton which I then combined into 5 magazine-inspired posters. I also included Anishinabewaki script on the pieces to acknowledge the land that the city is built on. As Hamilton quickly becomes a hub for upstart creatives and young entrepreneurs I hope that it can reverse the negative connotations surrounding it's name.
